My Story

I started my journey in the mental health field as a per diem staff member at a residential program for adolescent girls struggling with mental health concerns.  Over the years I have worked hard to obtain Masters degrees in community psychology and additional graduate level coursework in clinical mental health counseling.  I have a unique background with first hand experience on the prevention and community programming side of the treatment continuum over to direct clinical experience of the person to person work for many years.

My journey has allowed me the opportunity to work with clients ranging in age from Pre-K to older adults in individual and group settings and in community and private capacities.  I have supervisory experience in program development, outpatient treatment and residential treatment levels of care.

My clinical approach combines psychodyamic based interventions with over evidence based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solutions focused therapy (SFT), motivational interviewing, narrative therapy based approaches and EMDR.  Each client has unique needs and goals when entering therapy which is why I use a combination of therapeutic approaches depending on the given client.  I feel that multiple approaches can be interwoven over time to achieve the best possible outcome.  My experince has allowed me to specialize in a range of mood disorders including depression and anxiety, treatment for acute and complex trauma, as well substance use and recovery maintenance.

Part of what continues my passion for this field is any opportunity to teach, which is why I offer supervision in addition to my clinical services.  My approach can be especially beneficial to clinicians who find themselves newly working with clientele struggling with substance use disorders, complex trauma, or co-occurring disorders.

Professional Services

I offer individual and group supervision towards licensure and in support of clinicians looking to continue to grow.  Supervision is a great resource for professional growth in our ever changing field of mental health treatment.

I offer individual clinical supervision, including hours towards LPC or LADC licensure.  In addition to clinical supervision, I offer EMDR consultation including hours towards EMDRIA certification.

I can offer both clinical supervision and EMDR Group Consultation in a group format. I maintain group sizes of no more than 6 to ensure each member gets the most out of the collaborative experience.

Individual and group supervision can be offered in either in-person or in telehealth format.  My services are available to independent or private practice clinicians as well as community based agencies.
